School Days, School Days

Well here it is, the start of another school year! Our baby girl is now 16 and in her junior year at Paschal High School. Where does the time go, this has me feeling way to old! So it's back to hauling harps to performances and things. I need to drag my "Mom's Taxi" sign out of summers hibernation. As you can see in the photo she forgot her phone and had to come back for her appendage!! I am however looking forward to the cooler weather our brief fall season offers, tho the winters don't get that cold here (we still have roses blooming in December sometimes). Me I would still prefer to go farther north but no one will go with me so I am stuck here. Don't get me wrong I love my TEXAS, I just hate the heat! Facebook is provong to be way too cool! I have several family members on there that I get to talk to now. And I am really glad to see them on there. And several friends I had not heard from since school days. Which only goes to prove that whoever said "IT'S A SMALL WORLD" must have known facebook was coming!

Rosie

This is a LO I did yesterday of little dog Rosie. It was for Tuesday's Ten Challenge on Dsp.

Ouch!

Well I survived the procedure they did on my neck today! Now only 5 more to go to kill the nerves in my neck. I really hate needles.

We had lunch on Oprah!!!

Wow! I went on line yesterday and downloaded the coupon off of Oprah's site and we took it today to Kentucky Fried Chicken to get the free 2 piece grilled chiken meal. Well apparently everybody else had the same idea!! It took us almost 20 minutes to get through the line! Those poor workers at KFC, they were swamped!! But it was a free meal so I didn't mind at all! My cousin Shirley (FLIPPO) Smith sent me an e-mail recently with some penny postcards of Fort Worth, Texas in it and so of course I had to scrap it! So the following 2 pages are the LO I just did with those.....Thank you Shirley!!!

Happy Cinco De Mayo!

Well it is Mexico's Independance Day! Jackie had to have a CT scan at 7 AM so we were up early!! After we got back home I cooked breakfast.....yes I can cook....and then we all went back to bed! I get up early but 4 AM is a bit much! So after our nap I got up and did some digi scrapping and watched the movie Austrailia. It was good. A slow starter, but good after it got going. Nichole Kiddman is really a twit in the beginning but you have to like her at the end. And what can you say about Hugh Jackman but OMGosh! But the real show stealer is the little boy in the movie....he just blew me away! Okay so much for my movie review. I have this friend Carolyn who has just discovered texting on her cell phone and forgot how to talk on the real phone in the process!! So my fingers are getting a workout texting her back all the time!! LOL! Anyway here are the LO's I did today. One is of the storm we had here last month and the other is of my daughter Michelle when she was 6 months old....back in 1973

Happy May Day Everyone!!

Well April went out on a sour note with all this Swine flu going around. I hope everyone stays safe and flu free! All the schools here are out until the 8th of May at least. and they have shut down most of the events going on.....even MAY FEST! Now that broke my heart.....Well this is a short post, I am doing some research on one of my genealogy lines......a new cousin found me and I am having a ball with the new leads she gave me!!!!!! Take care and have a blessed weekend

Time Flies!!

Wow time flies when you are having fun!!!! I guess that what you call it anyway! I have doing some scrapping and having fun with that. Not so much fun stuff is trying to trim the budget!!!! But making some progress with that. But here are a couple of things I have done, Oh and one picture Tara took of herself with her cell phone!!

This is a LO I did of my daughter Michelle. The picture was taken shortly before her death. I used Laren Bavins Woodland Walk kit. I love the light rays element in the kit. I don't remember the font I used on this one. I have just started scrapping pics of Chelle'. It has been hard to get started on these pictures.

BFF

This is another LO I did today of Tara and her friend Simon. I used Erica Beltons Aqua Ice Plopper and the font was PC Swayin. Tara took the picture of her and Simon herself (she does that alot) and I took the other one!!

Easter 2009

Well it's already Easter! Everyone is gone again so I am home alone (hmmmm sounds like a good movie title!). The kiddo is at a friend's house and the hubby is working! So I have been scrapping all day!!! Got several done but this is my favorite for the day. This is my 1st cousin Linda, but she is OLDER than me (oops!). I grew up with her kids and she was more like an Aunt. I ran across this picture of her in some of my Grandmother Lacy's stuff. And so since it was Easter.....well you can see for yourself. I used Lisa Carter's kit "You Are" and the font is Park Ave. D.. I will definitely have to use this kit for some more LO's.

Alone Again

Well here I sit all by myself today. Tara has gone to a friends house and D.R. is working and Jackie is in Zephyr helping her sister. So I have been doing some long overdo scrapbooking. Here is the latest one of Tara's room.
